Alcohol-Free Attractions in Preston

If you are not a big fan of drinking or you don't really do pubs there is still plenty of places in Preston for students to socialise and have fun. Preston has everything you need. Whether you’re looking to wind down after a busy day on campus or bond with your new flatmates at the weekend, you’ll never run out of things to see, do and enjoy.
 
From leisurely afternoons exploring one of the city’s many museums and art galleries to wandering through the shopping centres and exploring the marina and docks, Preston offers a wide range of free activities that will keep you occupied even when budgets are tight.

For students looking for some higher energy activities in Preston, there are plenty to keep you busy! There is ‘Energi’ trampoline park, ‘TeamSport indoor go karting’,
and escape rooms ‘Escape reality’, and ‘The multiverse’ virtual reality. These fantastic venues will hit the spot. The Palace cinema is a staple city attraction and there are also a range of crafty activities for those looking to explore their creativity.

Visit the Lazy Cat Café and give some love to the cats and kittens while enjoying a cup of tea or some food.

Finally, we have 'Level', a multi floor leisure experience based in Preston Guild Hall. With 3 floors, 'Level' really does have something for everyone! On the first floor they have Crazy golf, laser tag, and karaoke. Floor 2 offers bowling, interactive darts, good food, and a sports bar, as well as a function room for event bookings. The third floor has an assault course which you can book in advance to ensure your group is not interrupted and can enjoy yourselves. Even better - students can get a 20% discount off anything and everything all day Thursdays!

A great way to meet people with similar interests and make friends is to join a society. UCLan’ s Students' Union has over 150 societies to choose from, from burlesque to board games, whatever your passion you sure to find something to enjoy with like-minded friends.

At Brunel Court in Preston Leisure Activities are Never too Far Away.
Students choosing to make Brunel Court their home during their time at university often won’t even need to leave the comfort of their accommodation to enjoy some leisure time with their new friends. Our central social space houses a ping pong table, dartboard, PS4 and pool table, and our landscaped outside spaces are ideal for a range of outdoor events and BBQs. We’ve also got a gym, entertaining kitchen space, cinema, and retro arcade room filled with two retro consoles and five arcade cabinets.
